Mr. Brooks received his B.A. degree with Departmental Honors in Government from Bowdoin College in 1965, and Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration Degrees from Cornell University in 1969. He has practiced for more than thirty years in the Cleveland area, being of Counsel with the firm since 1993. His practice encompasses estate planning, probate, guardianships, elder and Medicaid planning, taxation, real estate, corporate and business transactions.

A twenty year resident of Chesterland, he is a member of the Community Church of Chesterland where he serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees. He is President of the Medical Health Association in Geauga County, Trustee of the Geauga County Law Library, a founding member of the Welcome House, a facility for the mentally challenged, and serves on the Volunteer Guardianship Advisory Board.
